Can I stay overnight in a megalithic village?

In some cases, homestay-style arrangements or hosted overnight stays may be possible, usually for guests traveling with guides who have strong village relationships. Ratenggaro Traditional Village

A traditional village in Umbu Ngedo Village, 1.5 to 2 hours from Tambolaka on well-maintained asphalt roads. The villagers practise Marapu, a form of ancestor worship that shapes their culture and architecture: stilt houses with towering thatched roofs, some as high as 30 metres, the tallest on Sumba Island.

Prai Ijing Traditional Village

A bastion of cultural preservation and a highlight of Tebara Village, 2.6 km from Waikabubak, the capital of West Sumba, and about 43 km from Tambolaka Airport. The houses have sharply pointed thatched roofs, and local women weave traditional fabrics here.
